As the greatest league in the world, the Championship is frequently praised. The league is a great pleasure to watch because of the intense competition in the division from top to bottom as well as the ongoing drama and interesting narratives.

It appears that Klopp is among the several individuals who greatly appreciate Championship football.

In remarks to the press prior to Liverpool’s match against Southampton, as reported by reporter Lewis Steele, the German manager praised several lower-division teams. The following players were mentioned by Klopp: Leeds United, Leicester City, Ipswich Town, and West Brom

WHO IS THIS?

And it’s only getting better

Every year, it appears as though the Championship advances. There are others who contend that the disparity between the Premier League and the second division is always growing, yet this cannot be attributed to a decline in quality in the lower division.

This season, teams like Leeds United and Leicester City have demonstrated a level of play that many would consider to be worthy of the top division. It’s not just the top two that have drawn attention, though, as Southampton has started a record-breaking unbeaten streak and Ipswich Town is keeping them close.

The Saints will be looking to play a strong game against Liverpool and put on an excellent display. They are sit fourth in the Championship table after dropping three of their previous four games.

However, despite this dip in form, Klopp’s clear admiration for the standard of Championship football suggests he won’t be going easy on Russell Martin’s side as he looks to add more silverware to his cabinet in the final season of his Liverpool tenure
