‘Major doubt’: Daniel Farke says 24-year-old Leeds United player is ill and likely to miss Plymouth game now

Jamie Shackleton, a star for Leeds United, may be absent owing to illness, according to Daniel Farke, who spoke with the media on Monday morning ahead of Tuesday night’s FA Cup match against Plymouth.Throughout the entire campaign, Shackleton, 24, has been a consistent contributor for Leeds. It follows an arduous loan spell at Millwall during which he was frequently left off of the starting lineup.June is when his contract expires.

But manager Farke noticed him throughout the preseason after he made an impression. The Leeds-born midfielder has been a fixture in the lineup for him, whether it is in the middle of the park, on the right wing, or at left back.

When the season was almost over, his agent said he would permanently depart Leeds, but Shackleton has stayed in Leeds. He was excited about getting started on Tuesday night.

Following a 1-1 draw at Elland Road, Leeds will play Plymouth in an FA Cup fourth round replay at Argyle. Shackleton began the match. Farke claims that Shackleton is ill, thus it is unlikely that he will be available.

We still have 24 hours, but Jamie Shackleton’s illness is regrettably a serious doubt. However, since every other player made it through without any injuries, he is unable to practice today, Farke stated on the Club’s YouTube channel.

While Connor Roberts is cup-tied, Shackleton is skipping the journey down south along with Pascal Struijk, Stuart Dallas, and Dan James. Archie Grey appears to be the one to start on the right side of defence.

After scoring against Bristol City, Willy Gnonto might stay out wide, but it’s also likely that Jaidon Anthony will enter the game. There’s no doubt that Ilia Gruev, Glen Kamara, and Ethan Ampadu will keep playing.
