‘I can see him going’: John Hartson has backed Celtic 24-year-old to join Leeds United

JOHN HARTSON HAS BACKED CELTIC 24-YEAR-OLD TO SECURE A MOVE TO LEEDS UNITED

David Turnbull, a midfielder for Celtic, has the support of John Hartson to potentially sign a contract with Leeds United, an English Championship team.

There’s a good probability Daniel Farke’s Leeds United will be in the Premier League by the following summer.

The Yorkshire team is presently in the play-off spots and is expecting to quickly return to the top division in England.

David Turnbull will become a free agent in 2024 if he doesn’t sign a new deal, though it’s still unclear if he will join the Celtics.

John Hartson told Go Radio that he believes it’s more likely that David Turnbull will join a team like Leeds United after previously discounting the possibility of him joining the Italian powerhouse AC Milan.

Although it was previously suggested that Leeds was interested in Matt O’Riley, David Turnbull was the person mentioned in this instance.

David Turnbull to Leeds United?

David Turnbull is likeable, Hartson observed. He is a midfield player who can score goals, as I have always stated. He provides you with an additional 10–14 goals annually from midfield.

“I can see him going to a top Championship team, like a Leeds United.”

Leeds United free-flowing under Daniel Farke

It’s rather remarkable considering that Farke took over as Leeds’ manager relatively late in the season, following the club’s relegation, and the work he is now accomplishing.

Not to mention that he had a few players that wanted out following the opening game of the Championship season.

Even though the team was able to rotate through players throughout the summer transfer window, neither on-fiel

d nor off-field conditions improved.

However, that is now much in the past, as Leeds are currently riding high and seriously challenging Leicester City and surprise packages Ipswich Town for first place in the Championship.

Paul Robinson says that given Charlie Cresswell’s recent injuries in defence, Daniel Farke “never will” allow him to leave Leeds United in January.
The 21-year-old has only appeared in two minutes of Championship action since making his solitary league start of the season on August 12 at Birmingham City. In order to secure playing time, Carlton Palmer has projected that the player will push for a trade in the middle of the season.

Since then, when the transfer window opens, the defender might make a previously “unthinkable” loan move, according to a report by Yorkshire Evening Post reporter Graham Smyth on November 28. But considering Pascal Struijk’s recent absence due to hernia surgery, Sky Sports commentator Robinson feels it makes little sense to accept Cresswell’s departure unless certain reinforcements are on the way in.

Leeds United

Exclusive to MOT Leeds News, he said, “I think he had a good loan spell at Millwall last season that gave him some really good first-team experience.” This young, highly talented youngster will eventually be a member of Leeds’ starting lineup.

Though it’s unclear when the manager will deem it appropriate, he won’t allow players to go in January because to Pascal Struijk’s injury. He won’t let players go who are valuable to him and who are beneficial to him.”

“They have a strong squad when you consider the players, their size, and the bench. How come you would lessen that? There’s no justification for letting players go in January unless you plan to add new ones, particularly when you have injuries to your roster like Charlie Cresswell”

Leeds United

From the perspectives of Farke and Leeds United, it makes perfect sense to keep a player like Cresswell in the starting lineup and, possibly, to give him additional opportunities to contribute.

However, the young player believes that his development is stagnating at the moment after playing a lot at The Den last season, so some regular games elsewhere might be more crucial than ancillary involvement in a promotion push.
