Huge blow as Tottenham star confirms he is out for the rest of the year

James Maddison, a star for Tottenham Hotspur, has announced that he will miss the remainder of 2023.

James Maddison was substituted out of the match against Chelsea due to a knock.

At first, Ange Postecoglou claimed that the injury did not appear serious and that he was removed merely as a precaution.

However, it was disclosed yesterday that his injury was far more serious than initially thought, and it is anticipated that he may miss months of time.

It has already been announced by the player that he will not be returning to the game this year.

James Maddison sent a message to the Tottenham supporters on social media following the loss to Wolves.

He uploaded a photo of himself along with the text:

“The rollercoaster that is football unfortunately. Will need a period of time away from the pitch to get this one right. See you in the new year Spurs fans, I’ll be back better & stronger for sure, promise you that.”

The fact that Tottenham lost to Wolves today shows how serious Maddison’s injury is for the team.

Madison is one of the league’s best creators and the top player for the Spurs. He is the conduit for almost all Spurs attacks.

Spurs may find it difficult to provide the same offensive threat they had when he was on the pitch as he is anticipated to be sidelined until January 2024.

They took the lead early on tonight as Brennan Johnson scored the first goal of the Spurs.

For the majority of the match, though, they were the second-best squad. As Wolves struck twice in stoppage time to win 2-1, they eventually ran out of legs and collapsed.

“Not good enough”, “…rest of them are dogs” – O’Hara goes on an incredible rant after Wolves defeat

After the loss to Wolves, Jamie O’Hara gave Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou a scathing critique.

With three minutes on the clock, a depleted Tottenham took the lead thanks to a brilliant team goal by Brennan Johnson.

Even still, Wolves was the superior team for the most of the game, and this was one of Spurs’ relatively few opportunities.

Tottenham performed admirably in maintaining the advantage till stoppage time.

With Sarabia scoring a stunning goal off the bench, Wolves’ relentless pressure finally paid off in stoppage time.

And Wolves completed an astonishing comeback by scoring the winning goal five minutes later. This time, Sarabia provided the assist as Lemina secured the victory for the home team in the 97th minute.

After the game, Ange Postecoglou acknowledged that the outcome was not what they had hoped for, but she also hinted that some players may have lost their legs in the closing moments of the match.

After the match, Jamie O’Hara, a former Tottenham midfielder who is now a pundit, lost it and was extremely critical of the Australian.

In an address to the press, he stated:

“He’s not playing in Scotland with Celtic where the rest of them are dogs.. You are playing against top sides. Wolves are a good team at home. They have some good players, good manager.”

“If you keep making the same stupid mistakes where you keep playing Gung ho football. A point is not a bad result.”

“The players we’ve got aren’t good enough. This is the problem!”

TBH Stated:

O’Hara is adamant that Spurs should adapt their tactics based on the circumstances and not always play offensive football. However, Ange made it quite evident last week that he is not that kind of manager. He doesn’t think defensive football is a thing.

Given that Ange’s strategies have so far proven effective, the criticism is quite harsh. He only needs the players and team to put his knowledge of what he’s doing into practise.
