Since taking over in goal for former team captain Hugo Lloris, Vicario has had an outstanding debut for Spurs.

And after consulting with Vicario over the summer, Ange Postecoglou said that, despite Spurs’ interest in other goalkeepers, he was eager to recruit Vicario.

Postecoglou admits he was desperate for Tottenham to sign Vicario

Before Tottenham’s match against Chelsea tonight, Postecoglou gave an interview to the media in which he said he was impressed by Vicario’s adaptation to life in England.The Spurs manager stated, “He’s really embraced the challenge.” “He was aware that taking over as goalie for one of the major clubs would be a challenging assignment, especially since he would be taking over for a very well-known player in the game.
