Bayern Munich could raid Tottenham again in January
According to the most recent sources, Eric Dier is once again being linked to a transfer to Bayern Munich.
Dier had been rumored to be leaving Spurs in the summer, but he finally opted to stay and contend for a spot despite being in the final year of his contract.
Spurs might be inclined to sell him off, though, as the winter transfer window draws near.
Ange Postecoglou, the team’s new manager, has ignored the seasoned defender because he is unimpressed with the Englishman.The Englishman does not appear to be part of his intentions.
He has yet to appear for Spurs this year, and despite the manager making 9 changes at that point in the season, he wasn’t even named in the squad that faced Fulham in the League Cup earlier this year.
The defensive pairing of Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven has been one of the league’s best this year, ranking among the league’s top center-back combinations.
With recent claims saying Jose Mourinho is eager to bring him to the Serie A club, AS Roma has recently been a club that has expressed interest in signing him in January.
The most recent information out of Germany, however, is that Bayern Munich is also thinking at him as a potential player.
In the forthcoming transfer window, Bayern Munich are apparently looking for a center-back, with Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah being their main target, according to Bild’s Bayern Insider podcast.
However, it’s been reported that Bayern’s management is opposed to Chalobah’s acquisition, which would encourage their manager, Thomas Tuchel, to look into other possibilities.
Bayern Munich has taken an interest in Eric Dier, and their mutual friendship with Harry Kane, another player from England, may have anything to do with the deal.
Dier’s future is anticipated to be clarified during the January transfer window, with Bayern Munich surfacing as a possible location for the English defender.
