Michael Dawson raves about ‘amazing’ Georginio Rutter after what he did for Leeds United v Watford
Dawson said Rutte was “absolutely fantastic” as he scored the Whites’ second goal in 59 minutes to make it 3-0 against the Hornets, who had taken the lead thanks to a delightful ball played down the left by Dan James.
“He was fantastic all night,” added Dawson. “I thought it was fantastic.”
Speaking on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday, Rutte scored the Whites’ second goal against the Hornets in 59 minutes to give them a 1-0 lead.
“Rutter has been amazing,” said Dawson. “This pass when you see it, he plays it down the left-hand side, outside of his left foot and he just bends it.
“Dan James gets in front of Jamal Lewis, who does really well, gets back just as Dan James is about to pull the trigger and he gives him a slight nudge. It’s the right decision, Leeds are wanting a penalty, I don’t think it is.”
Quality
Dawson was highly complimentary of Rutter after being impressed with his performance in the first half of the match against Watford. It was a brilliant move from the striker to play James in on the left, however, it did not result in a goal for Leeds.
The French striker has demonstrated an impressive level of quality, which is to be expected from a player who was paid such a large transfer fee earlier in the season.

The Whites would really like him to step up and make a difference inside the box, especially after he missed two great chances to give them the lead in the first half of the game. But there’s no denying he could be a real game-changer for them as they try to fight their way up the table this season.
