Heartbreaking: Manager says ‘world-class’ player is ‘closest’ to leaving amid reports Leeds want him

Manager says ‘world-class’ player is ‘closest’ to leaving amid reports Leeds want him

Leeds United is attempting to end the summer transfer window on a high note due to links to various players.

The summer transfer window is down to one week, and the Whites are apparently looking to add a couple more players.

Joel Piroe, a Dutch forward who moved from Swansea to Leeds on Thursday night, has already been finalized.

The Whites are reportedly interested in signing Glen Kamara, a midfielder for Rangers, in the next days.

Dean Jones stated on GiveMeSport that “this week’s Thursday and Friday are viewed as really key days for Leeds with a bid for Kamara ready to be lodged.”

As a result of links, Kamara is currently “the one that’s closest” to departing, according to Rangers manager Michael Beale.

‘Losing a very good player’

While it’s not yet a given, Beale seems to have accepted that he won’t win this summer’s Finland international.

According to BBC Sport, he said, “We’re close to a couple that might be going out of the way.” Depending on whether something out of the norm occurs, we might respond.

Glen is the person who is closest. When I first returned to the club [in December], we had an open discussion regarding Glen’s future and how he perceived it.

“Glen wanted to move this summer, so we expected him to do so. There is nothing wrong with that.

Because we would be losing a really excellent player, “He has to clearly find the right club, and it has to be the right valuation for everyone.

“As a coach, you have to take a different approach when a player is open and honest about the fact that he sees his future elsewhere. I wasn’t in the mood to recruit players for the Rangers.

Glen has been a great addition to the team since he arrived. If nothing changes this week, Glen will be stuck in this position until January, at which point the rules will be completely different.

Leeds may have not started the Championship season particularly well, but in terms of transfer business, they’ve been putting together an outstanding team.

Players like Piroe, Ethan Ampadu, Karl Darlow, Sam Byram, and Joe Rodon could all contribute to a Premier League squad.

Kamara is another “world-class” athlete who has excelled at the top level. He has participated in Euro 2020, the Europa League, and the Champions League.

It will be fascinating to watch how Leeds perform throughout the season as the club acclimates to life in the second tier and all the new players get a chance to gel.
