Journalist shares update on Leeds transfer pursuit of ‘Remarkable’ star

According to Graeme Bailey, the Whites will surely be interested in Beto, but they might not be prepared to take the chance of acquiring him from Everton.

According to the TBR Football journalist, the 27-year-old’s representatives may be thinking about potential places for him to play on a regular basis.

Bailey anticipates that the West Yorkshire team would show interest in the centre forward, but it doesn’t appear likely given the Toffees’ desire to keep the striker after a spectacular comeback at Goodison Park.

“Beto has had a good season, remarkable considering from where he was,” the journalist stated on May 9. Moyes has a lot to do with that. I don’t think Everton is all that eager to let him go. For him, Everton paid a fair price.

“Clearly, his people want him to play regularly. Would Leeds be interested? I don’t see why not. But I don’t see Leeds taking that risk.”

Leeds United striker Joel Piroe

Farke will want support for Joel Piroe

Joel Piroe was a key component of Farke’s strategy to lead the Whites to the Championship championship this season.

The Dutch striker scored 19 goals in the league to win the Golden Boot, but it’s unclear how he’ll do in the Premier League.

Mateo Joseph was given consistent playing time at Elland Road earlier in the season, but the German boss decided to go with other options up front because of his lacklustre performances.

Although Patrick Bamford is another option available to Leeds, it would seem ideal for the Englishman to depart quickly as he is undoubtedly nearing the end of his career.

It is unclear if the Peacocks will make a move for Beto in the upcoming weeks, but Dan James has been a vital creative outlet for the Whites, and supporters will hope he can continue to perform at a similar level in the Premier League. Piroe has shown great potential in the Championship, but the English top flight is a different kettle of fish, and he cannot be expected to shoulder the burden of scoring goals. The West Yorkshire team may need to bolster every area of their squad with quality players next summer, so getting players with Premier League experience should be a top priority.
