Nick Hammond set to swap Leeds United for Everton
Nick Hammond’s agreement to join Everton, where he will be in charge of their recruitment, has been confirmed by TBR Football main correspondent Graham Bailey.
The Friedkin Group, who have already invaded Elland Road to bring in CEO Angus Kinnear, has enticed Hammond, who is now a transfer advisor at Leeds, to Merseyside.
At the end of the season, Kinnear will take over his position, and Hammond will be a member of the new football management group at Bramley Dock Stadium.
Additional appointments will be made in the upcoming weeks and months, according to TBR Football sources.
With the Friedkins adopting a European format for the club moving forward, Hammond will be in charge of all transactions, with some assistance from David Moyes.
Furthermore, since Hammond likes Gary Penrice, who works as a recruiter at Elland Road, Everton may attack Leeds once more.
Kevin Thelwell, the current sporting director of Everton, has agreed to join Rangers this summer, according to sources close to the club.

Throughout British football, Hammond has occupied a number of high-level executive posts, including those at West Brom, Newcastle, Celtic, and Reading.
The 57-year-old’s final team as a professional football player was Reading, where he began his backroom career.
In 2000, Hammond succeeded John Stephenson as director of Reading’s youth academy. In 2003, he was named the Club’s first-ever director of football.
He joined West Brom as technical director in 2016, and in 2019, he joined Celtic as a recruitment consultant.
Before joining Leeds in 2023, originally as an interim football advisor, Hammond was hired by Newcastle two years later as an interim transfer consultant.
