Leeds United take financial hit ‘as Kristensen sale done’, final fee shared
Rasmus Kristensen has been officially sold by Leeds United in advance of the summer transfer window.
Leeds’ primary focus will be on the on-field performance leading up to the final four Championship games, since promotion is on the cards.
They will still keep an eye on Elland Road’s summer hiring, though, and make choices regarding the future of a number of first-team players.
With an agreement for Kristensen’s departure already in place, a few players may be leaving the Whites this summer.
Farke is under tremendous pressure to lead Leeds to promotion.
Kristensen set for permanent Leeds exit
According to a story in The New York Times on April 16, Kristensen has been on loan at Frankfurt for the current season, and this summer, the move will become permanent.
After he leaves, Leeds will get a guaranteed £5.1 million from his sale, with any additional funds being evaluated depending on performance standards.
The Danish international will be sold at a loss because Leeds paid an estimated £10 million for him in 2022, but the Whites are reportedly pleased to have recovered the majority of the original cost.
The agreement will formally close in June, when Leeds will surely be as busy as ever during the transfer season.
Leeds have a huge summer ahead
Until promotion is officially confirmed, they will primarily concentrate on attaining that. However, as that day appears to be approaching, their focus will quickly shift to the effort that will be required during the transfer window.
If Leeds are to have any hope of escaping relegation, they will need to make some tough choices regarding the present players at Elland Road and make some wise hiring choices this summer.

Due to the need for changes and replacements, Illan Meslier is one of numerous players that may be leaving the team this summer along with Kristensen.
