Unbelievable! BBC pundit says ‘frustrated’ Leeds star is leaving the club to Southampton, predicts four others to leave

Following the Whites’ loss to Southampton in the Championship play-off final at Wembley, Jon Newsome has identified five Leeds United players who may now opt to leave the team.Although many had predicted a close and nervous match at Wembley, Leeds was not the winner as Southampton, led by Russell Martin, won their third game of the season against Daniel Farke’s team.

Midway through the first half, Adam Armstrong did, in fact, score the game’s lone goal. Armstrong exploited a lapse in judgment made by the usually dependable Ethan Ampadu.

Leeds had a few half-chances in the second half, but they didn’t really look dangerous until Dan James was added. James saw another attempt saved and a shot cannon back off the crossbar late in the game.

Leeds, however, will now have to compete for promotion for another season as a result of the loss. Southampton made their Premier League comeback at the first attempt, and according to Newsome, several players will now depart.

Jon Newsome predicts Leeds quintet to go, one to Southampton

The first of the five players that Newsome believes may leave is Joe Rodon, a Tottenham player from Wales. Leeds should probably forget about a deal because he is only on loan and will probably cost the better part of £20 million.

This is true even though, prior to the game, Rodon expressed his desire to sign for his “second home.” The duo Willy Gnonto and Crysencio Summerville has been associated with the exit door at Elland Road for a long time.

In addition to speculating that they might leave, Newsome concurs with BBC Radio Leeds host Jonathan Buchan that Ampadu and James might decide to move from Leeds to Southampton.Following the Wembley defeat, Newsome remarked, “Crysencio Summerville, yes, I can see him on his way; Willy Gnonto, yeah, I could see him on his way; Dan James, you know, frustrated, not even playing, on the bench.”

“Someone like Southampton might take a look at him,” Buchan retorted. “Absolutely,” Newsome then answered. Joe Rodon, you know, has a past. The player of the season, Ethan Ampadu, has excelled.

The players that could join Summerville and Gnonto in leaving

While Connor Roberts is confirmed to return to Burnley, Georginio Rutter has attracted interest in the past and is obviously a cut above this level. Jaidon Anthony at Bournemouth, too.

In other places, Pascal Struijk and Illan Meslier are probably going to be viewed as smart, seasoned young additions throughout Europe. Last summer, Club Brugge and Celta Vigo showed interest in Meslier and Struijk.

Junior Firpo has acknowledged that he turned down offers to stay last summer and is frequently mentioned in connection with a move to Spain. This summer, the 49ers will need to sell in order to balance the books at Leeds.
