Tottenham set to make £15.2m loss on ‘fantastic’ player, he’s not happy under Ange Postecoglou

Ever since Ange Postecoglou joined Tottenham Hotspur, it has become evident that he is prepared to let go of underperforming players rather than keeping them on the team as dead wood.

After Postecoglou determined that they were not in his plans at Tottenham, a number of players, including Harry Winks, Davinson Sanchez, Tanguy Ndombele, Joe Rodon, and many others, were sent on their way last summer.

It is obvious that the Australian manager dislikes it when players are dissatisfied with their idle time. With Spurs not playing in Europe in the 23–24 season, Harry undoubtedly had to trim the fat team.

Surprisingly, he did, however, decide to retain Bryan Gil with the Spurs throughout the offseason. Since joining Spurs in a £21.6 million transaction that included Erik Lamela, who left for Sevilla, Gil, 23, has had a challenging time..

Tottenham set to sell Bryan Gil for ‘very reasonable’ price

Gil has only played in 42 games over his three years with Spurs. He was sent out on loan twice and had an impact at his former teams, Valencia and Sevilla. This year, he has continued to play for Tottenham.

But Timo Werner’s inclusion has taken away his place even in the matchday roster. He has not started for Spurs in the Premier League for the past six games. He is reportedly “not happy.”

For now, a recent article from Vamos Mi Sevilla FC, a Spanish publication. Even though Postecoglou has said before that Gil is “fantastic,”they assert that Tottenham is prepared to bid Gil farewell for a “very reasonable” £5.2 million.Roy Keane delivers his honest opinion on Timo Werner's ability after seeing him at Tottenham

Spurs would suffer a significant financial loss on the Spain U21 player as a result. Tottenham will have to say goodbye to £15.4m on Gil if he sold for £5.2m, having already paid £21.6m for the cash portion of his deal in 2021.

Who is likely to be interested in Tottenham star Gil this summer?

It’s likely that he heads back to Spain. Valencia may be interested in the kid after he made an impression on loan, and Sevilla is probably eager to get the guy they brought through their academy back on loan.

Gil is rumoured to have had talks to join Real Sociedad in January; other Spanish teams will undoubtedly be interested. This summer, it will be interesting to see whether any English teams show interest in the winger.

It is likely that he will return to his native country in an attempt to revitalise his profession and locate a place he can call home. There will be a lot of suitors chasing him for such a low price.
