Footage Emerges Of Rassie Erasmus’ Furious Expletive-Ridden World Cup Team Talk
Not many people consider Rassie Erasmus to be a composed person. The South African rugby director isn’t afraid to voice his opinions when he feels they are required and puts his heart on his sleeve. One such instance occurred during the South Africa vs. England World Cup semi-final, and was documented in the video Chasing the Sun 2.
In light of this, it was anticipated that South Africa, having defeated the hosts France in the quarterfinals, would easily defeat England in the semifinals. Throughout the tournament, England played a rugby strategy heavily reliant on kicks, using deception to win matches against lower-tier opponents like Samoa and Japan.

Nonetheless, everyone was taken aback when England challenged South Africa in the first half. All the Springboks attempted to do was thwarted by them, as Owen Farrell’s four penalties put England ahead 12–6 at halftime.

It was reasonable to state that South Africa’s first-half performance was underwhelming. Despite being the clear favourites, they looked unprepared to play against this England team.

In a viral halftime footage from the most recent edition of Chasing The Sun 2, Rassie Erasmus gave the Springboks a straight-up lecture.

You gave the f***ing penalty away,

And you promised you won’t. You promised you were going to scrum them. You promised to you were going play like it’s your last f***ing game as a group together.

But you lied. You’re a f***ing liar!

South Africa would benefit from the remarks. A penalty kick by Mannie Libbok and a try by RG Snyman, converted by Handré Pollard, would give South Africa a thrilling 16–15 victory.

This is just one of many iconic Rassie moments that we have witnessed over the years, including his custom of yelling at refereeing calls or communicating with his squad using a traffic light.Who’s to claim his style doesn’t work when he has two World Cup titles on his record?
