Everton could miss out on Che Adams
As things stand right now, Everton cannot consider the upcoming transfer window.
Finding a way to stay in the Premier League the following season is only one of the many issues facing the Toffees.
After losing ten points at first, Everton was fined six points, and they may lose more as they anticipate a hearing in the near future.
The Toffees can afford to lose concentration if they don’t turn their attention to transfer plans, as they are currently 16th in the league standings, just four points above the relegation zone, and facing another point deduction soon.
Furthermore, the 777-Partners’ buyout has not yet received approval from the Premier League. Thus, it will not come as a huge surprise to many that Everton has missed out on some of their major objectives.
The Telegraph reports that Everton and Nottingham Forest have both had their sights set on Che Adams in recent window shopping.
Both teams, though, are having difficulty maintaining their place in the top division following point deductions for violating Premier League profit-and-sustainability regulations.
With nine goals in his previous 18 games for the Saints, Adams has been in outstanding form this season. He has a tonne of Premier League experience in addition to his 114 career goals.
Most significantly, there is little chance that Adams will be extended an offer of a new contract; he remains under contract at St. Mary’s until the end of the current campaign.
Currently, Wolves are in the lead to sign the 27-year-old on a free transfer during the summer transfer window as they search for a new striker.
Everton has to seriously strengthen their front lineup. Beto hasn’t proven he can be a dependable backup, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin hasn’t scored since October.
Adams may have been an excellent addition for the Toffees on a free transfer, but they are not in a position to consider transfer plans at this time. In 2024, Sean Dyche’s team has not yet won a Premier League match; hence, they need to ensure their league status with a few victories.
