With 16 goals and nine assists in all competitions, Summerville has been Leeds’ most outstanding player in the 2023–24 season.

The 22-year-old winger is admired by both Brighton and Aston Villa, according to a January Football Insider report.

In the meantime, Joe Rodon is probably going to be asked about a permanent Leeds move should he be promoted after an outstanding loan period..

Tottenham is seeking to sell Rodon for between £10 and $15 million this summer, according to a report published by Football Insider on February 9.

Despite having three years remaining on his present contract, sources have also told Football Insider (February 15) that Daniel Farke is scheduled to negotiate a new contract if promotion is secured. In related news

Daniel Farke misses Connor Roberts opportunity as Leeds United XI confirmed v Plymouth

When Leeds United plays Plymouth Argyle on Saturday, February 17, Daniel Farke has the opportunity to give Connor Roberts his complete debut.

The Welsh international joined the Whites on loan in January, but he hasn’t made a start for the team since leaving Premier League side Burnley.

Only two substitute appearances have the 28-year-old right-back’s resume to date, so he will have to make do with a spot on the bench once more while he waits patiently for his chance to replace Archie Grey.

Farke is obviously pleased with the way his team is playing right now after selecting an unchanged starting lineup versus Argyle on February 13, following the team’s 4-0 victory against Swansea City.

The Whites announced on their official Twitter account that Illan Meslier will start in goal. The defence will be composed of Grey, Joe Rodon, Ethan Ampadu, and Junior Firpo.

Glen Kamara is expected to play in midfield alongside Ilia Gruev, with Willy Gnonto, Georginio Rutter, Crysencio Summerville, and Joel Piroe occupying the attacking roles.

Even if it is sense to stick with a winning squad, Grey may have benefited from a break after playing so many games this season.

The Leeds manager may have to strike a balance over the next few months between controlling the 17-year-old’s playing time and making sure Roberts stays healthy for when he is needed.

Without a question, since making his first-team debut this season, Grey has been one of the star performers; but, there have been moments when he appeared a touch worn out.

Roberts, who impressed in the win over the Swans, is a strong candidate to replace the teenager at some stage in the afternoon.

The Welshman hasn’t moved to West Yorkshire to warm the bench, so he’ll be eager to seize his chance if it presents itself.

Farke will want his team to know that even though they defeated Argyle 4-1 in the FA Cup earlier this month, they should not be taken lightly.

Still, they will be full of confidence going into the match as they aim to win and get back into the automatic promotion spots.

Ally McCoist has responded to Daniel Farke’s remarks over a contentious incident, in other Leeds United news.
