Roma and Leeds United Defender Lands on PSG Radar

Roma won’t know if they can rely on Llorente for the remainder of the game until after Leeds United and PSG’s negotiations conclude. They loaned him for the entire season for €500k. He has started 23 games so far and has been a consistent starter.

Talks are also on between the French champions and the Giallorossi. They would prefer to return Renato Sanches earlier. Alexandro Ribeiro of Lille and Camar Soyuncu, who may leave on loan later, are the most recent additions to their defensive shortlist. He would, however, cost more money.

Our Opinion of Llorente, PSG, and Roma

If the French team were to pursue him seriously, they would have a serious issue since they would need to locate two players and integrate three by the middle of the season. Their leverage is quite limited. Furthermore, it wouldn’t be ideal if the counterparty used this circumstance as leverage in the Sanches discussion.

49ers open door for Leeds United return for Luke Ayling at Elland Road as announcement made 49ers Enterprises chief Paraag Marathe has opened the door for Luke Ayling to return to Leeds United in the future after it was announced he’ll be joining Middlesbrough on loan. It was confirmed on Wednesday (10 January) that Ayling, 32, will spent the rest of the season on loan at The Riverside but due to the fact his Leeds contract expires at the end of the campaign, it looks as though his eight-year spell at Elland Road will be coming to an end.Leeds chairman Marathe basically confirmed that too by penning a goodbye message to the right-back.

But before he signed the note, the American billionaire promised to have Ayling back at Elland Road whenever the chance presented itself.

“I want to express my gratitude to Luke for all of his contributions to Leeds United,” Marathe stated, as stated on the Leeds official website on January 10.

“He is a model employee who consistently went above and above for the badge he proudly wore.

“Only his dedication to the Leeds community and our supporters, whose affection he has won over his tenure here, rivals his devotion to the club.

“Luke is always welcome back at Elland Road and I wish him the best of luck on his next step.”

Always welcome back

Ayling’s playing ability has declined over the years, as we have been stating for a while.

In the Championship, Marcelo Bielsa brought out the best in the former Arsenal right-back, and he also had an outstanding Premier League season.

For Ayling, however, it began to fade after that first season in the top flight. Ayling was not alone in finding it difficult to adjust to playing for managers like as Sam Allardyce, Javi Gracia, and Jesse Marsch.

Daniel Farke eventually lost faith in Ayling as a consistent starter, which makes sense given that the right-back hasn’t been in the German starting lineup since the team’s 1-0 victory against QPR on October 4.

Since then, he has only been used as a substitute and is frequently left off the matchday roster entirely or benched.

Although it may not be the appropriate phrase, Ayling has stayed longer than he should have and ought to have left a long time ago.

However, we wish him luck at Boro, and Elland Road is always happy to have him back, as Marathe adds.
