Although Leeds United has the opportunity to add some players this month, the January transfer window also offers the possibility of departures, as one club is currently seeking to sign a loanee on a permanent basis.

Centre back Robin Koch was among those that left the team, as can be seen, joining Eintracht Frankfurt and going back to his home country. A new development regarding the player’s future has emerged, and as his contract expires in the summer, 49ers Enterprises, the owners of Leeds, might not even get paid for the player’s services at the end of the season.

According to Sport Witness, Koch has been a “real hit” with Frankfurt and they have received news on his future from Germany. The Leeds defender is now the target of the Bundesliga team, who hope to get him for free next summer. Koch may not have to leave Elland Road for nothing as Frankfurt officials have scheduled a meeting with him in the “coming days” and want to provide him with a three-year contract.The sensation has always been that Koch, whose contract in Yorkshire is worth £40,000 a week, will leave for good at the conclusion of the season when his contract expires, and it appears that Frankfurt wants to be the player’s next stop. The Leeds player has also received plaudits from Frankfurt head coach Dino Toppmoller, who stated in September:
“Robin Koch performs exceptionally well as well. This is excellent in every way. If we could bring him back into the national team with strong performances, that would be fantastic. We would all get an award for that.
As the season progresses, Koch might be the first of several loanees to complete a permanent departure, and the Whites still need to make judgements about players who are in Yorkshire. Since the contracts of Liam Cooper, Luke Ayling, Sam Byram, Stuart Dallas, Lewis Bate, Jamie Shackleton, and Ian Poveda expire in July, 2024 may be a year of transition. Daniel Farke has stated that a left-back is still needed. Leeds still lack a no. 10 in attacking midfield, with Joel Piroe playing out of position. Leeds, though, could potentially need the addition of a new winger.

The name Ryan Kent has gained prominence. The 27-year-old left Rangers after five years to join Fenerbahce in the summer. In the last six league games, he has only played one minute due to his struggles to get into the game.
