Football Insider reports that Leeds United is getting ready to make a move to sign Jack Hastings, a young player from Larne who is also drawing interest from Crystal Palace, Southampton, and Wolverhampton Wanderers. The 17-year-old has been watched by the Whites in the past, and his current employers are prepared for advances pertaining to the Northern Ireland Under-17 forward, who may now be the focus of bids from other parties.
Hastings made his senior debut in an Irish Cup match earlier this year after making an impression at the Under-18 and Under-20 levels with his club. He can play as a lone striker or as a part of a front-two.
The two teams had already made contact in regards to a possible raid, and if everything goes according to plan with a formal bid, the young player may now transfer to Elland Road. Though he is unlikely to arrive as a senior player, Hastings would probably go to Thorp Arch to continue honing his craft before making his first team debut in the future.
