“Deal in place and sealed” – Transfer expert confirms Tottenham have reached an agreement with defender

Destiny Udogie, the left-back prodigy for Tottenham Hotspur, is almost certain to sign a new, long-term contract with the team, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

Romano says that a deal has been struck and that the player and the club have agreed to extend the Italian’s contract with Spurs.

He shared the following update on X (formerly Twitter):

A new, long-term contract for the Italian fullback Destiny Udogie has been agreed upon by Tottenham and him, exclusively.

Club insiders tell me that a deal has been finalised and finalised; everything is finished.Udogie’s pay increase was agreed upon, and Spurs are quite pleased. Yesterday, Destiny scored THFC’s first goal.

Spurs’ happiness with the Italian fullback is evident from the new contract.

After his initial £15 million move from Udinese and a loan stint back in Serie A, Udogie’s development has been admirable.

After making his way back to Spurs this summer, the 21-year-old has established himself as a vital member of the team under manager Ange Postecoglou. He has demonstrated his abilities and made 14 league games, contributing with one goal and two assists.

He has only missed two games, both of which were caused by injuries or suspensions.

Tottenham board “will consider” Richarlison sale

Football Insider claims that Spurs have now decided to consider bids for the Brazilian from Saudi Arabia after previously refusing to consider them.

With “huge money on offer” from Saudi Arabia, it is thought that the Tottenham board “will now consider selling” Richarlison. The 26-year-old, who Spurs acquired from Everton for over £60 million last year, is starting to grow on the management team.

The club’s executives think they can make much-needed reinforcements and supplement Postecoglou’s transfer budget for the winter window with the possible Richarlison fee.

The north Londoners, who were previously prepared to turn down any proposals for the forward, have now made what is known as a “U-turn” on his future.

Football Insider was informed by a reliable source that Richarlison’s move to the Spurs “hasn’t worked out for all parties”.

Richarlison’s form for Spurs this season

Postecoglou is gradually reintegrating the South American into the group after he recovered from surgery on his pubic bone.

Richarlison has scored once and provided three assists in his 12 league games this season. However, his best performances may have been during Spurs’ 2-1 victory against Sheffield United early in the campaign.

After the former Watford player scored and provided an assist in the last moments to give Spurs the victory and pull off a stunning comeback, Postecoglou praised Richarlison at a press conference.

Postecoglou stated about Richarlison, “We’ve got to maintain a balance in life and even for him” (via TEAMtalk).

“He must realise that, like so many of us, he still has a lot to give and that, as a great football player, his football career is far from over. This will help relieve some of the pressure he’s carrying in other areas of his life.

“I’m quite happy for him; I felt he performed admirably. He’s usually dangerous in the air, so it was clear that we were trying to score and get some balls in the box.
