Roma ready to sell one of two internationals to buy Leeds United flop Ramus Kristensen in £6m+ deal

Il Romanista claims that Roma is prepared to let go of a player to raise the necessary funds for a permanent signing of Rasmus Kristensen from Leeds United, which would cost over £6 million.

The 26-year-old’s outstanding recent play in Rome has led the Serie A club to want to sign him permanently as soon as possible, according to an Italian news site that published a story on Friday, December 8.

It is believed that Leeds and Roma have already reached an agreement on an option-to-buy provision. Depending on the division the Whites play in the upcoming campaign, Roma will pay anywhere from £6 million to £10.3 million for the Denmark international.

Il Romanista thinks it is “increasingly certain” that Roma will sign Kristensen long-term, but if they do, Zeki Celik, an international player from Turkey, or Rick Karsdorp, an international player from the Netherlands, would have to leave the Stadio Olimpico as soon as January.

You’re welcome to him

Life in Rome did not come easily for Kristensen.

In spite of starting numerous Serie A games, he was unable to accumulate a strong enough lead time and was left out of their Europa League roster.

In October, he eventually found himself beginning games from the bench.

Kristensen finally made his Serie A debut last weekend (3 December), coming off the bench as Roma lost 1-0 away to Sassuolo.

We were a big fan of Kristensen’s last season, so the Italians are welcome to have him.
