‘Pathetic’…Jamie O’Hara reacts to Tottenham losing to West Ham tonight

Following a troubling run of results, Tottenham lost to West Ham 2-1, continuing their losing streak under Ange Postecoglou.

In order to cap off an exciting three days of Premier League action on Amazon, the Hammers scored twice in the second half to thoroughly outclass Spurs and earn a significant three points.

After dominating the first half and failing to take any chances, Tottenham was defeated by the Hammers in the second half. It was a case of deja vu for them.

Furthermore, former Spurs players Jamie O’Hara and Aaron Lennon were not pleased with what they witnessed when they watched the game and the outcome.

Ange has to find a way

Even though Tottenham is currently dealing with injuries, Ange Postecoglou needs to find a solution to get his team back to winning ways.

Although last weekend’s draw with City was fantastic, Spurs have now lost five straight games and are without a victory.

Ange will be concerned about this leading up to the holiday season, and it will be interesting to observe how he behaves and whether he can continue to present things in a favourable light.

As O’Hara and Lennon note here, the Spurs are currently a losing team and there are concerning indicators.

Cristian Romero played a strong comeback for Tottenham against West Ham on Wednesday, despite the club not getting the outcome they were hoping for.

After receiving a red card against Chelsea a few weeks prior, the Argentine felt he had something to prove, and he wasted little time in making a quick comeback to the Spurs faithful against West Ham.

Early in the game, Romero gave Spurs the lead with a fantastic goal—a looping header into the far corner.

During the live commentary of the match, Michael Brown spoke on BBC Radio Five Live on July 12, 23 at 8:25 PM. He was all praise for Romero after his goal, calling his header amazing and said he never would have thought Romero would be the one to score the game’s first goal for Tottenham.

Regarding the Argentine strike, the pundit offered his assessment.

“I never expected him to give them the lead from this corner kick, but unbelievable—of all the people you needed to bring it back here, he’d made those mistakes and he needed a good performance.” What a start for the Spurs—it simply loops into the upper corner—Brown remarked.

Return ruined

Romero’s return to first-team play should have thrilled him, but West Ham changed the course of the match and dashed his hopes.

After his egregious dismissal against Chelsea, the Argentine had been the target of much criticism in recent weeks. However, his first goal helped him get back on track.

Romero is a terrific player when he’s at his best, and on Thursday against West Ham, Spurs looked much more confident in possession and at the back—aside from a stupid error made by Destiny Udogie.

Romero has scored three goals this season, which is an interesting sign that he is becoming into more of an offensive danger. Although it is not his primary role, having that ability is always helpful.

It’s interesting to note that Romero is starting to seem more and more like an offensive danger; this is his third goal of the year. Although it’s not his primary responsibility, having a centre defender who can occasionally score from a set piece when you need him is always helpful.

Romero’s return will undoubtedly please Tottenham, and let’s hope he doesn’t receive any more red cards this year.

After this game, Spurs will be disappointed, but at least Romero’s return is a plus.
