Tanguy Ndombele’s future at Galatasaray was a topic of much discussion during the international break, following his underwhelming debut while on loan from Tottenham.

He reportedly met with the Turkish side, according to several accounts, and everyone seemed to agree that he was eager to show himself and that his demeanour had impressed.

Because of this, the Tottenham loanee was given the starting nod against Alanyaspor over the weekend, which culminated in a 4-0 victory for Galatasaray. However, Ndombele was criticised once more, this time by Mehmet Demirkol, as reported by GS Gazete.

The writer discussed the match and the forthcoming Champions League matchup with Manchester United while offering his thoughts on the Frenchman’s performance.

“Ndombele played mediocre against Alanyaspor,” the speaker stated. When playing Manchester United, Kaan Ayhan will be in the middle of the pitch.

Although Ayhan is a center-back by trade, he can also move forward and play in the defensive midfield position.

If verified, it would be a setback for the Tottenham player, who has yet to start a Champions League match this year and would instead be forced to the sidelines.
