Doctor issues injury update on Tottenham defender Ivan Perisic

Dr Rajpal Brar has said that Ivan Perisic, a defender for Tottenham Hotspur, won’t be going back to full first-team practise until April.
According to the injury expert, the Croatian player has sustained serious harm to multiple structures in addition to his anterior cruciate ligament.
This pushes back Perisic’s return date, and there’s little chance he’ll be fit to play football with the first team before the conclusion of the season.
Discussing Perisic’s situation exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: “There’s a possibility that he does return late in the season earlier than expected but it would still surprise me some because he suffered a ‘complex ACL rupture’ which means significant damage to other structures and comes with a longer return timeline.
“Further, later season games tend to be higher in intensity so it is riskier to play after injury as well.
“Even if he is not going to return to training, he may take place in some partial team training late in the season which won’t be until April and then full training during pre-season over the summer.”
In addition to playing as a left-back and left wing back most of the time for Spurs, the 34-year-old has also been used farther up the pitch as a utility player.
Prior to suffering an ACL surgery that sidelined him for months, the Croatian played in just five league games and appeared in 99 minutes overall this season.
He participated in at least one minute of play in 34 of the 38 Premier League games played last season.
Since Pereisic’s contract with Tottenham Hotspur Stadium expires at the end of the current campaign, it is unclear what lies ahead for him.

Alan Hutton isn’t shocked to see a rather peculiar development regarding the deal that took Harry Kane from Tottenham to Bayern Munich in the summer.

On Monday, November 20, the German newspaper Abend Zeitung reported that Bayern had inserted an agreement that would see them play two friendlies against Tottenham, with the Premier League club keeping all of the proceeds, in order to prevent the deal from coming in over €100 million.
Abend Zeitung further stated that it is not known when or how the two “additional transfer games” will take place.
Bayern and RB Leipzig are said to have reached such arrangements in the past, and Hutton has acknowledged that this has also happened occasionally when he played in games comparable to this one.
Hutton told Toronto News, “To be honest, I’m not surprised by it.”
“I’ve witnessed this a lot with prior clubs I’ve been to, where a player gets traded to a team with the understanding that you go play against the team the player was traded to in the preseason.
This will enable them to profit more from the transaction.
I have observed this frequently, therefore it is not unique.
It’s going to be financially jam-packed to attend a preseason game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The traction is there because everyone will want to watch that.
