Tottenham ‘raiding Juventus again’ for third player after Kulusevski and Bentancur deals

Tottenham signed Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur from Juventus.

Ange Postecoglou remains grounded despite Spurs’ performance; there’s still a long way to go.

Due to reports that they are interested in signing left-back Andrea Cambiaso, Tottenham appears to be planning a third raid on Juventus. After signing Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur, the Lilywhites have already succeeded in luring two players away from the Italian powerhouses in recent years.

After leaving Genoa for Juventus in the summer of last year, Cambiaso was sent to Bologna on loan right away. He made his way back to Turin in time for the upcoming season, and he has since appeared in nine of his team’s ten Serie A games. Even on Saturday, the 23-year-old scored the game-winning goal in the 96th minute to help Juventus upset Verona 1-0.

Cambiaso was in high demand throughout the summer, according to CalcioMercato, with AC Milan and Fiorentina of the Premier League expressing interest in a possible transfer. Tottenham is reportedly showing interest in the situation.

Eight caps for the Italy under-21 squad have been earned by Cambiaso, and Luciano Spalletti is currently evaluating the star player in anticipation of calling him up to the national team. And having made 67 games in Serie A since making his top-flight debut for Genoa in 2021, it seems the player has a bright future at the pinnacle of the game.

From Ange Postecoglou’s summertime takeover as manager, Tottenham have mainly used a four-man defense, with Destiny Udogie frequently starting at left-back instead of Ben Davies. However, Spurs would have another skillful left-sided defender to compete with for the starting shirt in Cambiaso.

As Kulusevski and Bentancur were signed at the end of the January transfer window in 2022, Tottenham had experience working with Juventus in the transfer market. Bentancur paid £15.9 million plus £5 million in add-ons to join, while Kulusevski took an £8.3 million 18-month loan to relocate to north London, which he then paid a further £25 million to make permanent in June.

Andrea Cambiaso

According to reports, Tottenham is interested in signing Juventus’ Andrea Cambiaso.

The 23-year-old Swedish winger Kulusevski has made 68 appearances for Tottenham and has nine goals and sixteen assists. He has been a vital member of the team under Postecoglou. Bentancur, a midfielder for Spurs from Uruguay, has accrued six goals and six assists in 45 games, but has been out for eight and a half months due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury sustained in February.

Last Friday, during his team’s 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace, the 26-year-old made his debut under Postecoglou by coming off the bench. And he’ll be looking for more action when Spurs play Chelsea on Monday.
