Tottenham’s ‘fantastic’ player won’t be playing against Luton this weekend
This weekend, Spurs host Luton Town, and it looks like one of their summer recruits will be missing the game. According to The Athletic, “Brennan Johnson will miss this weekend’s game against The Hatters”.
Johnson was ruled out of Spurs’ match against Liverpool on Saturday due to a “hamstring issue,” and it looks like the problem is still with him.
This is a huge blow for Johnson, who will be hoping to get off to a flying start at Spurs after joining from Nottingham Forest. A win against a bottom-of-the-table Luton team would have been a great opportunity for him to make a name for himself at the club.
Unfortunately for Johnson, that chance has now been taken away from him, but Spurs should be able to get the job done. Luton have been off to a terrible start this season and Spurs will be confident of picking up all three points even without Johnson. Of course, winning any match in the Premier League isn’t easy, but if there was ever a time for Spurs to get away with losing a key player to injury, this is it.
Fortunately, with the international break just around the corner, Johnson is expected to be back in time for Spurs’ next match against Fulham, which could also be a great opportunity for the Welsh international to score his first goal for his new side, who have been struggling recently.
Let’s hope Johnson’s hamstring injury is all for the best and he’s back in action in no time.
