Spurs supporters remind Daniel Levy of vital errors as verdict issued over sale claim

Daniel Levy has openly discussed the prospect of new investment in Tottenham.

Spurs supporters are confident that Daniel Levy, having “learned his lesson”, will not be tempted to sell the club to a bad owner. This comes after the Tottenham chairman revealed in an interview with Bloomberg that he is willing to consider offers from any source if they are deemed to be in the best interest of the club’s shareholders. “We haven’t had anything that we felt was in the interest of shareholders that we’ve looked at,” he said.

The club is facing a new era with former owner Joe Lewis stepping down from the club after being accused of insider trading in the United States. Earlier this year, it was reported that Nasser Al- Khelaifi, chairman of Qatar Sports Investments, had held talks with Levy about purchasing a stake. However, Levy has said that this is not the only option he has had in the past, with offers from Far East, other Middle East countries and the United States.

If it were in the best interests of Tottenham Hotspur, Daniel Levy would be open to receiving investment proposals.

“I’ve got no real interest to leave Tottenham, but I have a duty to consider anything that anyone may want to propose. It’s not about me, it’s about what’s right for the club.

“We run this club as if it’s a public company. If anyone wants to make a serious proposition to the board of Tottenham we would consider it, along with our advisers, and if we felt it was in the interests of the club we would be open to anything.”

Tottenham remain interested in signing Gift Orban

Tottenham Hotspur reportedly remain interested in signing Gent star Gift Emmanuel Orban in the upcoming transfer window, as per the Spanish outlet Fichajes.

Following the sale of Harry Kane to German giants Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window, speculation has been rife that Spurs will be looking to sign a striker to replace the England international.

A number of players have been linked with a switch to the newly refurbished White Hart Lane, with Orban being one of them.

Tottenham did not make a formal approach to sign any striker before the deadline, but according to a report by Fichajes, even though they did not formalise their interest this summer, Spurs are still looking to sign Orban.

According to the report, Spurs could step up their pursuit of Orban in the coming transfer window, with Barcelona and AC Milan also looking to sign him.

Orban to Tottenham

Orban, who is valued at approximately £17m by Transfermarkt, still has four years remaining on his current deal. Consequently, it is likely that Gent will require a significant sum of money to let go of their star player should they be forced to part with him. Consequently, Spurs will be required to make a significant financial commitment to secure his services in the forthcoming transfer window should they formally register their interest.

Following his impressive performance for Gent in the Pro League last season, which saw him score 15 goals and provide two assists in 16 matches, Orban has now burst onto the scene in recent times.

Spurs have expressed a strong interest in signing the Nigerian forward to strengthen their attack. Orban is known for his quickness, ability to pass from long distances, his ability to hold-up the ball, his ability to score goals from distance, and his poacher’s instinct inside the penalty area.

He is a highly talented player who could be a valuable asset for Tottenham in the long-term if they decide to make a move for him. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham take the necessary steps to secure the services of Orban in the coming months.
