Kevin De Bruyne praises Tottenham star Son Heung-min
Son Heung-min was acquired by Tottenham from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015 for about £22 million (Guardian).
The South Korean man’s life in England didn’t get off to the best of starts. In his first Premier League season, he only scored four goals, but he has steadily improved since.
Son has so far led Tottenham with 148 goals and 80 assists. He is now their captain and possibly their most crucial attacker.
The 31-year-old had a challenging season his previous time out, but Kevin De Bruyne is still an excellent player with the ball in his hands.
The Manchester City star and a number of other athletes were asked to choose one Premier League player for each of the categories of perfect feet, body, and brain in a film for Sky Sports.
There were many fascinating responses, but when De Bruyne had to decide which player had the best feet, he selected Son right away.
He said: “Heung-min Son. Perfect, two-footed, quick!”
You must concur with De Bruyne if he claims Son has “perfect” feet.
The Manchester City player has competed for both club and country among some of the top players in the world. He could have easily chosen Erling Haaland, but the fact that he went with Son speaks volumes about how talented the Tottenham captain is.
Son scored a superb hat-trick against Burnley in Spurs’ final game after the season started without him scoring. Fans are hopeful that he will return to being the superb performer that he once was.
Today’s match between Sheffield United and Tottenham will be interesting to watch for Son’s starting position.
