After Wolves’ offer, Harrison Reed’s position on accepting the Fulham agreement was revealed by sources.
Harrison Reed’s transfer to Wolves had been blocked by Fulham, who are now eager to keep him on board.
On Friday, September 8th, it was made public that the Midlands club had made Fulham an offer of almost £3 million for the 28-year-old’s services.
Reed’s deal with the west London team expires in June 2024, so he can start talks with a foreign club in January about a pre-contract arrangement.
Although Fulham has the option to give him an additional 12 months, it is thought that negotiations for a new contract are underway since the team wants to bind him to a lengthier commitment.
The combative star would be “happy to extend his stay if a suitable offer arrives,” according to a reliable source.
According to his current deal, Reed makes £30,000 per week.
He has played a total of 344 minutes for Fulham so far this season, starting four out of a potential five games.
Reed moved to the Cottagers from Southampton in 2020, and he played a significant role in their 2021–22 promotion from the Championship.
The former loanee from Norwich and Blackburn has since made 150 appearances for Fulham in all competitions, with three goals and 11 assists.
Joao Palhinha, a star player who was on the verge of joining Bayern Munich late in the transfer window, was also resisted by the Londoners throughout the summer.
From their first four games of the season, Fulham has amassed four points.
