Without a mistake’: Media claim Leeds star is guaranteed to ‘start’ this weekend after int’L display

‘Following the international show, Daniel Farke conveyed a clear message to Jaka Bijol via Slovenian media. Daniel Farke’s persistent exclusion from Leeds United’s squad following their most recent World Cup qualifying match has been addressed by a Slovenian publication. After making a high-profile move from Udinese in the summer, Jaka Bijol has been forced to wait to make his Premier League debut for Leeds.

During the current break, the Slovenian international has participated in both games for his country, and Bijol has received recognition for his performance against Kosovo.

Playing at the center of a back five, Bijol kept another clean sheet against Switzerland to give Farke plenty to ponder before Leeds’ upcoming matchup with Burnley. Bijol’s performance has since been hailed by Slovenian media once more; one publication even went so far as to speak to the Leeds manager directly following the match.

Slovenian media applaud Jaka Bijol of Leeds United. In recent weeks, Slovenia’s defense has been incredibly strong, and Bijol has been instrumental in keeping two straight clean sheets.

The publication Ekipa gave Bijol a favorable evaluation, giving him a 7.5 for his performance and openly addressing Farke in their comments. “Bijol will start the Premier League match this weekend if Leeds manager Daniel Farke watched the game,” they said. Breel Embolo was invisible beside him as he performed flawlessly.

The journal Dnevnik likewise gave Bijol the second-highest rating, giving him a 7/10, 0.5 points below than their player of the match, Jan Oblak. With three straight games without a goal, Slovenia’s problems lie at the opposite end of the field.

Jaka Bijol – Stats vs Switzerland

Switzerland struggled to find an opening against the host team’s solid back five without Noah Okafor, Bijol’s Leeds teammate who is yet underappreciated. At the center of this was Bijol, who after another strong defensive performance received a rating of 7.2 from FotMob, the second-highest rating after Oblak’s 7.9.
