The final third is one area where the Whites should concentrate their efforts, as Joel Piroe is the only viable option entering the top division.

None of them have had a significant effect in West Yorkshire this season, but Patrick Bamford, Mateo Joseph, and Joe Gelhardt have all been linked to moves away from Elland Road this summer.

One individual who has been suggested as a possible remedy for Leeds’ issues is Callum Wilson, and Farke now has the ideal chance to make a deal.

Despite having entered the game in the 70th minute, the 33-year-old made a single lap of honour after the final whistle, waving to the home crowd and appearing obviously upset, implying a farewell.

Leeds to strike deal for Wilson

Wilson is most certainly leaving Newcastle, therefore Leeds can now go and get a great deal to get the striker.

Wilson has stated that he is keen to continue playing, so joining a team that is probably further down the Premier League standings would be a suitable fit.

The striker was a standout player for Newcastle when they were lower in the standings, and he can undoubtedly repeat such performances if he can maintain his fitness and play frequently.

With consistent playing time, Wilson can be a threat up top.

It is crucial to have someone with the necessary experience to succeed, and Farke will be aiming to add a variety of players to bolster his depth in the last third.

Although Bamford has enjoyed his job, there are a number of reasons why the two are unlikely to meet again at Leeds this summer.

Leeds linked with Phillips return

This summer, Phillips will probably be available for a transfer once more, either on loan or a permanent basis. Leeds may be able to re-sign him if they so desire.

Nevertheless, Phillips may need to move down to the Championship in order to revitalise his career, as he is now unsuited for the Premier League due to his struggles at Ipswich and West Ham on loan.

It is still doubtful that Phillips will rejoin Bamford even if Leeds decides to re-sign him in the hopes that having him back at Elland Road will assist bring out the best in him.

Following a lacklustre season, Bamford is expected to leave this summer, and he recently acknowledged that a move to the American Major League Soccer (MLS) may be in his future.
