Plymouth Argyle in the lead chasing Bundesliga 2 talent

Plymouth Argyle, Charlton Athletic, Bolton Wanderers and Peterborough United are all keen on midfielder Bradley Ibrahim, as per Football League World.

Next season, Peterborough United, Bolton Wanderers, and Plymouth Argyle will all participate in League One. After being relegated at the end of the 2024–2025 season, PAFC drops out of the Championship.

Along with the aforementioned three, Charlton Athletic may yet be able to stay in the third division, but this weekend’s League One play-off final at Wembley Stadium will determine their fate.

However, Bradley Ibrahim has now been linked to all four clubs ahead of the summer transfer window. All of Plymouth Argyle, Charlton Athletic, Bolton Wanderers, and Peterborough United are reportedly interested in the 20-year-old defensive midfield player, according to Football League World.

Ibrahim is under contract with Hertha Berlin of the 2. Bundesliga, although he played on loan in League One with Crawley Town during the 2024–2025 season, and it appears that his performances have drawn notice.

Although Ibrahim’s contract with Hertha is set to expire in 2027, it is currently unknown what the parent club has in store for him. It implies that PAFC and any other team interested in signing him will probably have to pay a fee for a long-term contract, even though another loan could be better.

A successful EFL stay

Ibrahim experienced his first taste of regular senior football during his time with Crawley Town. He had never played in the first team for either his old team, Arsenal, or Hertha Berlin.

The fact that the 20-year-old has attracted interest from teams like Plymouth Argyle, Charlton Athletic, Bolton Wanderers, and Peterborough United may not come as a surprise given how he matured during his time with the Red Devils.

Ibrahim contributed two goals in his 37 appearances for the team in all competitions. Although he was utilised on the right side and a little bit further forward in central midfield, he mostly played in his native defensive midfield position. With 15 booked, the Hertha loanee’s aggressive style and tough tackling were evident.

A smart target for all clubs linked

After making good progress at Crawley, Ibrahim might benefit from staying in League One.

If they stay down, Charlton Athletic, Bolton Wanderers, and Plymouth Argyle will all hope to contend for promotion the following season. Peterborough United is also going to try to move back towards the bottom of the standings.

Ibrahim can assist them in doing so, but he is also a youthful asset with a lot of promise. If a permanent move were to be considered, he would be a promising prospect with resale potential for the Posh, the Trotters, the Addicks, or PAFC.

What Hertha has in store for Ibrahim will only become clear with time, but it will undoubtedly play a significant role in determining his future.
