Journalist Shares Worrying Injury Blow for Man Utd Ahead of Tottenham Clash
‘This certainly isn’t good news’, according to writer Steven Railston, after Manchester United defender Leny Yoro sustained an injury against West Ham United on Sunday.
Even though the Red Devils are now fighting barely above the relegation zone, the Premier League means very little to them, but United is getting ready for their biggest match of the season in just ten days. Ruben Amorim’s team has advanced to the Europa League final, where they will take on Tottenham Hotspur. This is a genuine opportunity for them to turn around a terrible season.
Building some much-needed momentum and making sure none of their best players get hurt are United’s top priorities at home. That hasn’t worked out yet, though, as Matthijs de Ligt has been dealing with an issue this week.

It’s ‘not good news’
During Manchester United’s match versus West Ham United, journalist Railston reported on X and implied that Yoro’s injury-related substitution was “really not good news” for United. Given that the Tottenham match is only ten days away, the Red Devils may suffer a serious setback as they get ready for the Europa League final.
“Leny Yoro is down with an injury and it looks like Harry Maguire is coming on. This really isn’t good news.”

Maguire is a more than capable Yoro substitute, fortunately for United, but there was a chance the English defender would have started with Yoro in the Europa League final anyhow.
In better news for United, Tottenham was also hit with an injury the same day. In the days preceding the Europa League final, both teams may lose some important players, like Dejan Kulusevski was substituted in the first half of Sunday’s match against Crystal Palace.
