Leeds United have made the first move to sign £16m gem high on Newcastle United’s list

With the Championship season finished and promotion to the Premier League secured, the rumour mill is fully underway with Leeds United expected to have a very busy summer.

Although adding players with Premier League experience appears to be the primary goal, Daniel Farke’s team has already been linked to fresh acquisitions from all over the world. Having more than £100 million to spend

Recent sources suggest that Everton striker Beto could be purchased with a portion of the £100 million. With seven Premier League goals since David Moyes returned to Goodison Park, the £26 million attacker has found new life.

Beto, however, is not the only player being linked to a move to Elland Road as the 49ers, led by new athletic director Adam Underwood, try to assemble a team that can succeed. A Besiktas player is now wanted by Leeds.

Leeds make move to sign Besiktas and Turkey ace Semih Kilicsoy

Semih Kilicsoy, who is only 19, has already made an impact on the Besiktas team and played in 81 senior games. He has contributed to 25 goals in that period, either up front or out wide, scoring 16 and dishing out nine.

With 38 of those 81 coming off the bench, they are impressive numbers. A delegation will travel to Istanbul after Leeds reportedly “made a move” to sign Kilicsoy this summer, according to a report from the Turkish publication Yeni Asir.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team, who have improved under the Norwegian’s leadership, is set to have talks. Kilicsoy has fluctuated in the starting lineup, and Leeds may be able to work out a loan-to-buy arrangement for him.

Newcastle is reportedly in the lead for the four-time Turkey star, who heads Turkey’s U21 team and scored 42 goals in 64 appearances for the second string at his boyhood club, according to a previous Milliyet report.

Kilicsoy must be signed for a fee of £16 million, with Aston Villa being mentioned as a potential destination. It’s unclear how much Leeds would need to pay in order to get a loan, and if that would be required.

However, considering his potential and numbers at such a young age, Kilicsoy does appear destined for the Premier League. It’s unclear if Leeds will be able to jump to the front of the queue this summer.

Leeds ready to spend £30m on new goalkeeper for Farke – Sky Sports

Leeds United is prepared to shell out a lot of money during the summer transfer season to find someone to replace Illan Meslier.

The fans will continue to celebrate Leeds United’s promotion, but the Whites’ preparations for life back in the Premier League will already be under way for those working behind the scenes.

The freshly promoted team is expected to have a significant summer transfer window, and a number of players have already been linked to a move to Elland Road.

In light of this, Leeds will prioritise acquiring a new custodian and be willing to forgo a significant financial investment in order to do so.

Meslier will almost certainly be replaced this summer

Daniel Farke set to be handed transfer warchest at Leeds

It is estimated that Leeds will have more than £150 million to spend on new players this summer, with up to ten new players anticipated at Elland Road.

Considering Meslier’s struggles in the Championship, one of those arriving is probably going to be a “keeper,” and the Whites will spend £30 million to get one, according to Sky Sports (7 May).

Meslier’s stats are made to look far better by the defensive foundation he had in front of him.

Among the names that have been connected to a move are Aaron Ramsdale and Caoimhin Kelleher, and neither is probably going to be inexpensive.

Now that Farke’s continued tenure as Leeds manager has been assured, the Whites will try their best to give him the resources he needs to thrive in the Premier League.

Leeds need to sign Premier League quality this summer

If Leeds want to avoid a quick relegation back into the Championship, they will need to figure out how to cope with the challenge of surviving in the Premier League after promotion.

The fact that all three of the promoted teams dropped out of the Premier League this season shows how hard it is to make up ground.

Leeds has every chance to do so, though, if they make wise hiring decisions. However, they won’t have any leeway in the transfer market.
