According to Soccernet.ng, Miron Muslic, the head coach of Plymouth Argyle, has acknowledged that his team will attempt to recruit Nigerian attacker Muhammad Tijani at the end of the current campaign.
The 24-year-old, who joined the Pilgrims on loan from Slavia Prague in the Czech Republic, has only played 11 games this season, starting two of them due to injury.
In Plymouth’s previous three games, Tijani has started one, come off the bench twice, and scored one goal against Sheffield United, who are currently third in the EFL Championship.
With two games remaining this season, Plymouth Argyle are now at the bottom of the Championship table. Luton Town and Derby County are only three points ahead of them, and they are tied with Cardiff City.
Even if it seems like Tijani’s team has a remote possibility of getting promoted if they win their next two games, their odds remain limited. Nevertheless, Tijani gives his team an offensive edge, thus Muslic wants him to start at the front against Preston this weekend.
“We are going to have a big bear up front on Saturday, and let’s see how long Tijani can stay on the pitch. He looked pretty solid the last time, but I didn’t want to take the risk during the last 10, 15 minutes. He wanted to continue, but I just had these hamstring injuries in my head and I wanted to protect him.”

The former coach of Cercle Brugge also disclosed that his team is trying to permanently sign Tijani from Slavia Prague.
