Frank Lampard has made three changes, two of which were forced since Bobby Thomas and Ephron Mason-Clark were left out of the matchday squad to play Hull, confirming today’s injury rumours.
Here arrives In place of Thomas, who is officially injured, Joel Latibeaudiere will team with Liam Kitching in the center of defense. Haji Wright will likely take Mason-Clark’s spot on the left wing, who is also sidelined, while Ellis Simms returns to the starting lineup to lead the line.
In other positions, Jay Dasilva completes the back four at left-back, Milan van Ewijk at right-back, and Brad Collins in goal. With Ben Sheaf starting after Victor Torp was injured the previous time out and the more aggressive Jack Rudoni rounding out the trio in the anticipated 4-3-3 formation, Matt Grimes remains in the holding midfield position.
Tatsuhiro Sakamoto will continue to play with Simms and Wright on the right wing of the attacking three. As Brandon Thomas-Asante remains sidelined due to injury, Jamie Paterson, Norman Bassette, and Raphael Borges Rodrigues provide attacking options from the bench.
