Cristian Romero ‘Disgraceful’ for What he Did After Wolves v Tottenham
Cristian Romero, the captain for the day and defender for Tottenham Hotspur, has been called “disgraceful” as he was seen heading straight down the tunnel upon the sound of the final whistle against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.
Romero Walked Straight Down Tunnel

He had no time to acknowledge the travelling supporters
In the first leg of their Europa League match, Spurs would have hoped to build on their more impressive performance against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday. However, things got off to the worst possible start within two minutes, as Rayan Ait-Nouri gave the home team the lead, and they doubled their lead before halftime thanks to an own goal from Djed Spence.
Romero and his teammate Ben Davies were absent for the goal, and he created a complete mess of the third Wolves goal by mishandling the ball, which gave Ait-Nouri another opportunity to score and let Jorgen Strand Larsen score.
Key Statistic:
In 119 games across all competitions for Tottenham Hotspur, Cristian Romero has been sent off four times.
Alasdair Gold of Football London gave Romero a 3/10 rating for his performance in the defeat, and even though he was captain for the match, he had no desire to stay on the field to thank the travelling supporters at the end of the game.
