Premier League make announcement about West Ham v Bournemouth incident

The Premier League quickly announced that West Ham United had fallen behind 1-0 against Bournemouth in the first half at the London Stadium.

On Saturday, April 5, Graham Potter’s team hosted Andoni Iraola’s team. Evanilson scored the game-winning goal in the 38th minute.

Although there were doubts about whether the goal should have been allowed to stand, VAR later upheld the on-field referee’s ruling.

The Hammers have suffered a 1-0 loss to Wolves at Molineux, and the home team would suffer another defeat.

Evanilson onside after scoring in West Ham v Bournemouth

At the London Stadium, the Premier League claims that VAR looked at Evanilson’s goal for a potential offside against the Irons.

Although Stockley Park considered whether the Brazilian forward’s goal should have been disallowed, he ultimately accepted the on-field ruling.

Prior to the goal being scored after VAR drew lines to reach a decision, Max Kilman was spotted ahead of the Cherries’ goalscorer.

X (5 April) was posted by Premier League Match Centre:

“The referee’s call of goal was checked and confirmed by VAR — with Evanilson in an onside position.”

Potter frustrated with defending at London Stadium v Bournemouth

Potter’s team is currently 16th in the Premier League going into their match against Bournemouth, thus their chances of winning the league don’t appear promising.

Since David Sullivan hired him, the English manager has not been able to obtain the top players from the team.

In addition to having a terrible tenure at the London Stadium, former Chelsea head coach Julen Lopetegui has also had a difficult time.

After making significant investments in their team during the summer transfer window, West Ham may have had ambitions of making it to Europe, but things have now taken a turn for the worst.

Following David Moyes’ very successful tenure with the Hammers, the team has experienced a fall rather than advancement.

Although they were supposed to improve the Irons’ backline, Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo haven’t had much of an effect thus far.

Big decisions about additions and departures will need to be made in the upcoming months because the East London team has had a poor defensive record the entire season.

The London Stadium’s fans will be hoping that their club can defeat the Cherries.
