‘I could take over’: Midfielder who played 56 times for Spurs says he would do a better job than Ange Postecoglou

Midfielder who played 56 times for Tottenham says he would do a better job than Ange Postecoglou

Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham have ended up on the losing side yet again.

When the Spurs hired the Australian as their manager in the summer of 2023, he was a welcome change. The spectators adored his style of football, which was entertaining to watch.

But many of his supporters have turned against him because of the awful finish to the previous season and the lackluster start to this season.

Some Tottenham supporters are so tired of Postecoglou that they believe they can do better than him, and many of them want him fired.

Jamie O’Hara says he would do a better job than Ange Postecoglou as Tottenham’s manager

There is no doubt that Postecoglou’s future as manager of Tottenham is uncertain.

This season, the Australian has struggled with injuries, but his record of 16 losses in 30 Premier League games is simply intolerable. It was not until 1977 that Spurs suffered such a large number of losses at this point in the season.

For far less, Daniel Levy has fired numerous Tottenham managers, and Jamie O’Hara finds it unbelievable that Postecoglou is still employed.

The former Spurs midfielder, who made 56 appearances for the squad, drew attention to the fact that every team in the table nearby Tottenham fired their manager.

After that, O’Hara went so far as to claim that he would “seriously” perform better as Spurs manager than Postecoglou has undergone this season.

“He would have been gone, just like any other manager at Tottenham Hotspur,” he stated on talkSPORT.

“We’ve suffered 16 defeats. The managers of every team in our vicinity have been fired. All the teams surrounding us have fired their managers. Each and every one. Ange is still with us there.

I really think I could take over and do better, Mate. Really. I mean it!

The latest on Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham future

Postecoglou may soon find himself in serious difficulty.

Tottenham and West Ham United are tied for 16th place in the Premier League standings, with Tottenham in 14th place. They also lost badly in both domestic cups.

According to an exclusive report by TBR Football, Daniel Levy has told Postecoglou that playing in Europe the next season at Tottenham is a must.

Spurs can only accomplish that now if they win the Europa League, but if they perform as they have in previous months, Eintracht Frankfurt will eliminate them.

For Postecoglou, that would probably be the end of the road.
