In his most recent editorial,  senior journalist Fabrizio Romano expressed gratitude to senior Tottenham Hotspur executives for Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi as they contemplate a management change this summer.

With Spurs presently in 14th place in the Premier League standings and having dropped 15 of their 29 top level games this season, Ange Postecoglou is under increasing pressure.

Tottenham Chiefs Like Simone Inzaghi

The Italian has done an amazing job at Inter Milan

Romano claims that Tottenham is appreciating Inzaghi’s work in Italy from a distance, while Posteoglou’s employment is under scrutiny after a lackluster season.

Spurs are already considering backup plans in case they decide to let go of the 59-year-old at the end of the current campaign, but winning the Europa League might still keep the Australian on the team for the following campaign.

Not surprisingly, Inzaghi, who has been called “the best coach in the world,” has captured their interest. He guided the Serie A powerhouses to victory in 2023–24 and may soon do it again, as the team is already three points ahead of Napoli at the top with eight games remaining.

The most important statistic is that in his 76 Serie A games as Inter Milan’s manager, Simone Inzaghi has only lost six.

Tottenham is interested in the Italian, but it looks like they will have a difficult time luring him away from the San Siro.

After the regular season is over, Inzaghi will compete in the Club World Cup in June and July, and Romano says he is totally focused on the project with Inter.

Tottenham Also Targeting Andoni Iraola and Marco Silva

The Premier League duo are also on the managerial shortlist

In addition to Inzaghi, Tottenham is interested in two managers who are closer to home: Marco Silva of Fulham and Andoni Iraola of AFC Bournemouth.

Even though they were both eliminated from the FA Cup quarterfinals this past weekend, the two have had outstanding seasons with their clubs and are now among the most sought-after managers in both Europe.

As they await the outcome of their Europa League quarterfinal two-leg matchup against Eintracht Frankfurt next month, Tottenham has not yet made a final decision regarding Postecoglou’s future. However, it is evident that the north London team is assembling a succession plan in case they need to make a significant decision in the coming months.
