According to a recent rumour, Leeds United manager Daniel Farke sent his top scout to a familiar location last weekend in an attempt to uncover deals before the summer transfer window opens.

Leeds eye new centre-forward as Bamford nears exit door

Farke and company are eager to bolster their forward line this summer, even if the Whites lead the Championship table and have the most goals in the division. As injuries continue to prevent him from playing regularly, Patrick Bamford, who was linked to an Elland Road departure in January, appears to be nearing the end of his time with the team.

Journalist Alan Nixon, as cited by Football League World, claims that Farke dispatched his best Leeds scout to Germany in the final weekend before the international break in order to hunt for deals.

Leeds is still on track to win promotion to the Premier League, and the manager seems eager to get ahead of the competition. For this reason, he wanted his scouts to watch Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 games last weekend because he thinks there are always deals to be found in the nation where he first became a manager.

Ao Tanaka is possibly the biggest success story in recent memory. The 48-year-old, who is nearing 100 games as Leeds’ manager, has managed at various levels in Germany and has previously shopped there.
