Tottenham Hotspur very keen on a star striker

Tottenham are prepared to make a significant offer for Viktor Gyokeres ahead of the summer, with the team looking for a prolific goalscorer.

In the lead-up to the summer transfer window, Viktor Gyokeres is becoming a major target for Tottenham, who are expected to make a sizable offer, according to Ferraris. The Swedish striker may decide to leave the Portuguese team nonetheless, but Sporting CP will not back down from their requests for money.

Because of his consistent connections to some of the biggest clubs, Viktor Gyokeres has been discussed alongside some of the most well-known targets. His contract with Sporting CP has a sizable release clause since the Portuguese team is committed to making as much money as possible.

Arsenal and Liverpool are among the teams that are frequently associated to Gyokeres, who is said to favour certain above others. Despite the Swede’s steady goal totals—he has 50 goals and 50 assists this season with Sporting—it is understood that neither of those Premier League powerhouses is genuinely interested in him.

Even if the deal would be challenging financially, Manchester United is interested, and Ruben Amorim is eager to work with his former Sporting CP star again. Despite having other requirements, such as bolstering the backline and midfield before the summer, the Red Devils may think about spending a lot of money on Gyokeres.

Prior to the summer, Tottenham is the most recent team in the market to take a serious look at Gyokeres. Newcastle United, who are willing to spend a lot of money to entice the forward, are also interested in the Swede and might pose the toughest challenge to Spurs in the race.

Will Tottenham sign Viktor Gyokeres?

In the end, Gyokeres might choose to join a team that will compete in the Champions League the next season, something Spurs are currently far from. Should Tottenham win the Europa League, they may be able to make their way into the Premier League, where they may sign some of the top players available.

For Spurs, Gyokeres is a player who can contribute the kind of prolific goal totals that Harry Kane did. The Swede might, however, choose a different, larger team over Tottenham if given the option, but if he plans to leave Sporting in pursuit of a major team and a huge deal, the white side of north London might prove to be a good enough destination.
