Harry Kane reveals the unfortunate truth about his Tottenham exit

Harry Kane left Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern Munich two seasons ago. He now feels that moving to Germany has improved his reputation and placed him squarely in the running for the greatest individual prize in sport.

Harry Kane has been extremely prolific after moving to Bavaria from North London. The forward for Bayern Munich has demonstrated his abilities on the grandest stage by recording 99 goal involvements in just 82 appearances.

His distinctive body is beautiful, yet he still can’t seem to find cutlery. Bayern failed to win another Bundesliga title due to Bayer Leverkusen’s outstanding 2023–24 season, and Kane is still looking for his first major club honour.

But Kane’s reputation in the football community has definitely improved while the trophy wait continues.

In an interview, Tottenham Hotspur’s all-time leading scorer has now stated that he feels “more respected” and thinks the move has improved his standing since joining Bayern. He also believes that it has solidified his place in the Ballon d’Or discussion.

Harry Kane clarified in an interview with The Standard: “On a confidence and responsibility level, simply being at a club like Bayern Munich has helped push me even more.”

Sometimes I prefer to have that expectation when I’m playing for a team like that, when I have a lot of chances and am expected to score 30 to 40 goals a season. It practically increases my pressure to accomplish.

“Being able to play in big games and big nights makes me feel like I’ve definitely improved and that my reputation as a player is a little more respected than it used to be.”

Furthermore, Kane stated that he would be a serious candidate for the Ballon d’Or, the most coveted individual football award, if he were to win big hardware.

His response was, “100%.” “Last season, I experienced that too. Even though I scored more than 40 goals, we didn’t win any team trophies, so it goes without saying that I would never win the Ballon d’Or.

Spurs have struggled since losing Kane

The performances of Tottenham Hotspur have drastically declined, but Kane still excels on the big stage.

Spurs are currently ten points outside of mid-table and a startling fifteen points outside of fourth place in the Premier League standings, sitting in 14th place.

That Kane is succeeding at Bayern is not surprising. Players have frequently left Spurs and gone on to win significant awards. With Bayern’s customary domination in German football, he now appears to have a chance to join that list in the near future.
