Journalist shares what Leeds sources have said about player sales already

Tyler Adams and Luis Sinisterra’s sales, according to Ben Jacobs, have made Leeds United’s financial status less dire than previously believed.

Although Sinisterra moved on a loan-to-buy arrangement, Adams and Sinisterra both joined Bournemouth last summer, and both sales are counted toward the Whites’ current fiscal year.

Former CBS reporter Jacobs believes the club won’t need to put in much more work to balance their books if they sell star forward Crysencio Summerville.

“There is an acceptance in the Leeds hierarchy that there is some pressure to balance the books financially, but then again when you look at the current financial year yet to be declared, you have a boost on the books from the departures of Adams and Sinisterra,” he said in an interview on the Just Joe Football Show on June 11.

“Some sources within Leeds say you should be deducting the Adams and Sinisterra [fees] so they’re not in as much financial hot water as has been painted regarding those outgoings, instead of looking at £100 million in sales, which maybe Summerville can be a third of that.”
