DONE DEAL: WEST HAM FANS ARE ALL SAYING THE SAME THING AS THE SPANISH MAN ANNOUNCED AS MANAGER

WEST HAM FANS ARE ALL SAYING THE SAME THING AS JULEN LOPETEGUI ANNOUNCED AS MANAGER

The announcement that Julen Lopetegui will be West Ham United’s new manager has been verified, and the reaction from the supporters is unanimous.

Thanks to a late strike by Jamie Bowen, West Ham United defeated Fiorentina 2-1 in 2023 to win the Europa Conference League title. David Moyes had an incredibly successful tenure there.

Allowing the Scotsman to leave the club does seem like a harsh choice, especially in light of the fact that the Hammers have established themselves in the top 10 and have only just lost out on a European position.

However, the East London team has chosen to hire former Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui, and the expectation is that the Spaniard can lead them to regular European football.

West Ham fans react

Once Lopetegui’s employment was confirmed by the official West Ham account on X, the former Real Madrid and Sevilla captain received feedback from the supporters.

“Perhaps the playwrighting gets better. Our transition from a manager structure to a head coach structure is what I’m most excited about,” a supporter remarked. Truly looking forward to seeing what Lopetegui has in store for the future, stated another. That’s brand-new and innovative.

The Spaniard was well-liked by others. Let’s get behind the management, regardless of what you think. An more person wrote, “Let’s all just get behind him and the team.”
While this is a wonderful appointment, there needs to be transfers, according to another fan: “Cannot wait for the new era at West Ham but we need to get this rebuild right this summer.”

“The most obvious tenth place finish ever,” predicted a sixth fan, who was probably rooting for a rival team, for where they will finish the following season.

Lopetegui’s Premier League stint

When Wolves signed the Spaniard in the 2022–2023 season, it was a major coup for the Premier League, but the former Sevilla manager never had enough support in his short time in the Black Country.

Lopetegui played just 27 games for Wolves during his time in the Midlands, winning 10 of them. In comparison to Moyes’s 1.53 points per game rate during his tenure in East London, the Spaniard’s point per game rate was 1.30.

Although Lopetegui has won numerous awards with Sevilla, the Hammers should take a risk with this. It’s a gamble to fire a dependable and accomplished coach like Moyes; something has to give. There is little doubt among Hammers supporters that Lopetegui needs support in this
