‘Increadible’. EFL senior pundit blasts Daniel Farke and shares why he deslike the Leeds United manager

Adrian Clarke, an EFL pundit, has explained why he is “not a massive” fan of Daniel Farke, the manager of Leeds United.

As Leeds take on Southampton in the play-off final at Wembley on Sunday, Farke will have the opportunity to earn his third Championship promotion.

Farke won the Championship title twice when he was at Norwich City, but he was never able to help the team win a spot in the Premier League. After the Canaries’ first season ended in 20th place, Farke was dismissed of his duties early in his second season in the top flight.

Leeds was in disarray when Farke took over last summer, so he had to overcome some major challenges to get the team in this position.

The 49ers Enterprises were still working on finalising the acquisition of Andrea Radrizzani, and Farke does not want to welcome back many of the first team players from the previous season who left on loan following Leeds’ relegation.

Leeds was on the verge of finishing in the top two after an incredible run from the beginning of January to the end of March, but they were eventually unable to secure a spot and will now have one more chance to advance at Wembley on Sunday.

Adrian Clarke shares why Leeds have looked ‘clueless’ under Farke at times

Given the circumstances, Farke has done an excellent job at Leeds this season; in fact, the German coach even said he never imagined the team would reach 90 points back in September.

But there have undoubtedly been some areas of his management that have not lived up to expectations.Throughout the entire season, Leeds had a significant problem to penetrate strong defenders.

Farke has also been criticism for his substitute strategy, either leaving it too late in games to make adjustments, or simply not having a backup plan other than throwing as many attackers onto the pitch as he can.
Pundit Clarke claims he has watched Leeds appear “clueless” on numerous occasions this season and feels Farke does not have much “tactical armoury up his sleeve” in his interview on the most recent episode of “What The EFL Podcast.”

“I have to be honest, I am not a huge fan of Daniel Farke,” he remarked. He doesn’t seem to have a lot of tactical tools at his disposal. His serenity is ideal for Leeds, and I adore his attitude.

“I think his plan A is good when they play like they did against Norwich, but when it doesn’t work, from what I’ve seen, they look really stupid. I turned to face him at that point and asked, “What are you going to do?” but he didn’t respond.

“Southampton is a team that can potentially weaken the strengths of both Crawley and Oxford by assertively dominating the game like they did.”

Clarke also tipping Southampton to beat Leeds

In the most recent episode of the podcast, Clarke also revealed his prediction for the outcome of the match, calling for Southampton to triumph.

Even though Clarke has been critical of Farke, he thinks Southampton will prevail because Russell Martin has them managed by a “better coached team.”

It’s the one thing about Southampton that worries me, but they will need to play their best defence,” he stated. They’ve allowed 54 goals this season in open play, though I know they’ve made progress recently. With 29 players added, Leeds has made a significant impact.

“That Leeds front four could really hurt them if they don’t play outstanding high up the pitch defence. However, I have a slight bias in favour of Southampton because, although it might easily go to extra time, I believe they are just a better-coached squad.

Although Leeds is strong, gifted, quick, and all those things, Southampton is stronger strategically. They have several ways of hurting you.
