Fabrizio Romano: Crystal Palace could trigger £15.3m Leeds United domino to get loan player gone for good – View

Real Betis is anticipated to chase Leeds United midfielder Marc Roca in the summer transfer window, but the La Liga team’s requirement for additional funding to complete the transaction is a problem that may now be alleviated by Crystal Palace.

Leeds’ current roster’s transfer problems are mostly related to the various players whose initial loan stints away from the club are coming to an end.

Many of those players have not disclosed if they have any other provisions in place in the event that Leeds stays in the Championship, but Marc Roca has made it clear this season that he does.

Marc Roca wanted by Betis, could cost significant sum if Leeds are promoted

Due to Roca’s excellent performances for Real Betis this season, permanent transfer negotiations are now being considered. The majority of the rumours coming from Spanish media suggest that the Sevilla team is looking to acquire a deal for 24/25 players.

Although he has already bought a home in the neighbourhood, a permanent fee is anticipated to be his sole means of returning to Betis in the summer if Leeds wins at Wembley.

A Spanish report from January stated that if Leeds are promoted, a £17.2 million fee may be required to sign the Spaniard.

Such a fee appears to be a difficult reach for the La Liga side even though they are set for European football again next term.

Fabrizio Romano: Real Betis to sell Chadi Riad to Crystal Palace, could boost Leeds

According to Fabricio Romano, Crystal Palace is expected to pay Betis defender Chadi Riad about £12 million to acquire Roca, which could increase Betis’ prospects of raising the necessary finances to sign Roca long-term:

Even though El Desmarque reports that 50% of the Riad fee is going to Barcelona, the center-back is reportedly heading to Selhurst Park this summer, which will be a financial boost for Betis as they look to sign Roca.

They might be more willing to finance a contract to retain Roca in the long run if they exhibit this outward behaviour.

Leeds need some help with selling these loan players

Roca should be a top priority, and Betis may be able to finance their own transfer company if they are able to secure a respectable price for Riad.

We can only hope that Betis will have the power to retain Roca in the long run because he is not a center-back and the money might be used to directly replace Riad.

Hopefully, this is a start in the right direction since it’s clear that he wants to leave Leeds and that we would prefer to sell him.
