‘It’s hard’: Leeds united key man admits he has found one thing difficult to cope with since joining Leeds

After a challenging start in Yorkshire, Georginio Rutter has emerged as a fan favourite at Leeds United this season. The Frenchman acknowledges that he has found it tough to deal with one thing since moving to the area.

The 22-year-old has contributed to 26 goals in 50 games for The Whites this season, which is rather amazing. That’s even though you have to adjust to both playing up front and in the 10 slot.

Leeds supporters have grown to adore the club’s number twenty because of his contagious personality, his Harry Potter celebration, his backing of The 49ers in the Super Bowl, and several more instances during the season.

But at Elland Road, things weren’t always like that.Hoffenheim offered Rutter a club record to sign, but at first he struggled because he didn’t understand the language and he joined a team that was always changing managers.

There was little opportunity for him, as they were a team headed for relegation. In an interview with ITV, Rutter now addressed the question of whether his performance on the pitch since going to Yorkshire has been affected by the club record.

Georginio Rutter admits struggling with weight of club-record fee

At first, he did, raising doubts among the supporters about his arrival when, in reality, Leeds needed to go and use the money they had spent on Rutter on a more seasoned Premier League striker since relegation was looming.

One that would give Leeds a chance of survival and ensure a few goals between January and the end of the season. Rather than that, they acquired Rutter, who made one Premier League start for Leeds.

But as Rutter is emerging this season, he acknowledged that the pressure of English football is difficult to handle, saying, “You know it’s hard [dealing with record fee] when you come from a country with no pressure.”

“Here, there is pressure you know. It’s the best football in the world, it’s like the NBA for football. It’s hard when you come for a big price but you know, I choose this sport so I have to be ready for that,” he said.

What Daniel Farke said about Rutter’s recent dip in Leeds form

Prior to the playoffs, Rutter had encountered difficulties in regaining his peak performance following a minor hernia surgery during the March international break. There have been nine league games without any goals or creations.

That is, assuming his successful penalty kick attempt in the 4–3 victory over Middlesbrough is disregarded. However, Rutter secured a spot in the championship game against Southampton last Thursday by scoring a third goal for Leeds with his weaker foot.

Farke addressed his previous troubles following the 4-0 victory over Norwich, saying, “Two or three times he looked good in training and played badly in games.” lost his physical form. He’s had a tremendous season.
