In a reported £13 million deal, Tottenham purchased Alejo Veliz from Argentine team Rosario Central last summer (Football.London).

Despite his limited playing time of 42 minutes in eight appearances during the first half of the season, the youthful player managed to score one goal for Spurs (Transfermarkt).

It will inevitably be difficult for an emerging striker to establish himself when you have guys like Richardson and Heung-min Son in front of you.

Consequently, the choice to lend Veliz to Sevilla was made in January. The 20-year-old has only made three appearances for the La Liga team, so far, so it appears that the transition has not been successful for anyone.

Sport Witness has reported that a report from Diario de Sevilla has attacked Sevilla’s choice to loan out Veliz. Tottenham, meantime, is rumoured to be dissatisfied with the player’s usage by the Spanish team (AS)

However, it appears like Tottenham may have a real potential on their hands thanks to an interview published by Milan News with agency and Argentine football specialist Filippo Colasanto, who states that Veliz is one of the players he would have nominated from the South American country recently.

“With my eyes closed, I would have taken Alejo Véliz, who ended up at Tottenham, just as two years ago I would have taken Julian Alvarez without much thought,” Colasanto stated.
