‘Unthinkable’: Sky Sports pundit now predicts the score when Leeds face Watford tonight

David Prutton has shared his prediction for when Leeds United travel to Vicarage Road to face Watford tonight.

The last time Leeds played, they defeated Millwall 2-0 to take the lead in the Championship for the first time this year. That was 12 days ago.

The promotion race has been unlike any other thus far, and Leeds has been able to quickly take a breather from it thanks to the international break.

Leeds has won 12 of their 13 league games since the start of the New Year, which has put them in this position. They will be trying to continue where they left off before the brief break in club football.

Georginio Rutter, the team’s star player, had minor surgery at the beginning of the week, so Farke will be worried about his health. In the rematch in September, Rutter gave his best performance while wearing a Leeds shirt.

While Wesley Hoedt, a vital defender, is out due to suspension and Jamal Lewis, a left back, is seriously doubtful, Watford is also dealing with some issues.

The Championship title battle between Leeds United, Leicester City, and Ipswich Town will “come down to the wire” in the closing stages of the campaign, predicts Ray Parlour.

Prior to the Good Friday (March 29) EFL matches, Enzo Maresca’s team has a game in hand over the Whites. Daniel Farke’s team is currently leading England’s second division over the Foxes on goal differential.

Leeds may be leading the way right now, but Parlour acknowledged he was taken aback by the Whites’ ascent in the standings, believing Leicester would “run away with it” this year.

He stated this on talkSPORT on Friday, March 29, at 6:08 p.m.: “It’s amazing to see the top of the table now. Leicester looked like they were going to run away with it, so who would have thought Leeds would be top at this point?”

“It simply demonstrates that Leeds persevered, as they currently lead the league, and Leicester is clearly winning the match.”

“Southampton will be hoping to resume their winning ways following their winning streak. Despite appearing to be out of it after a string of losses, they still have games left to play. It is so thrilling.

Will Leeds United win the Championship ahead of Leicester City and Ipswich Town?

Leeds United will be totally focused on the Championship run-in now that the international break is over, as they have an opportunity to not only win another league title but also make a return to the Premier League.

The Foxes are still a threat to the Whites even though they haven’t played well lately. Under Maresca, Leicester has demonstrated that they can produce a strong run of play at any time.Leeds United Daniel Farke

Elland Road has seen fantastic work from Daniel Farke, the manager of Leeds United.

The majority of analysts have predicted that Southampton, Leicester, and Ipswich will compete for the three automatic promotion spots in 2024. However, Farke’s team cannot be written off because they appeared untouchable for significantly of that season.

Leeds is hoping to continue their winning streak and secure a spot in the Premier League this coming season. They only need to keep it up for another month after proving they can defeat anyone this season.
